How Hearthline makes money.
How paid links are labelled
Commercial result cards are marked “Affiliate partner” and include an explanation before the button. Tariff links are labelled “Affiliate link”. This is intended to make the commercial nature clear before engagement, in line with UK advertising guidance.
How recommendations remain independent
The planner determines which improvements appear, their order and their estimated values before partner URLs are applied. Partner configuration is held separately from the calculation. A partner cannot pay to appear earlier in the upgrade runway.
Planned launch partners
| Purpose | Planned route | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Solar and heat-pump enquiries | OVO Solar & Heating via Awin programme 122556 | Tracked link requires publisher approval |
| Energy tariff comparison | UKPower affiliate or white-label service | Tracked link requires partner agreement |
| Independent installer search | MCS public installer directory | Non-commercial reference link |
What Hearthline will not do
- Sell personal contact details without specific, informed consent.
- Present paid placement as independent editorial content.
- Alter a calculation to make a commercial product look better.
- Claim that an estimate or grant is guaranteed.
Current status
The supplied build uses public, non-tracked destinations until the site owner completes publisher identity, tax and payout verification. The commercial labels are already present so the user experience remains transparent when tracked links are activated.
