Source standard
For policy, grants, consumer protections, certification and regulated energy information, Hearthline starts with the responsible UK authority or scheme operator. Typical sources include GOV.UK, Ofgem, MCS, consumer-code bodies and the Energy Saving Trust. Secondary sources may help explain a topic, but they do not replace a better primary source for a material claim.

- Changing grants, tariffs, deadlines and eligibility rules are linked to their official source.
- Worked examples state their assumptions and are not presented as guaranteed outcomes.
- Safety, moisture, structural, electrical and contractual stop conditions are made visible where relevant.
Drafting and review
Software tools, including generative systems, may assist with research organisation, drafting, calculations, code, formatting and quality checks. They are not treated as sources. The operator remains responsible for publication and checks material technical, safety, financial, grant and consumer-protection claims against cited evidence before a page goes live.

Readers should confirm time-sensitive rules on the official page before committing money.
Corrections
Email support@hearthline.co.uk with the page address, the disputed statement and supporting evidence. Hearthline will assess the issue, correct material errors promptly and update the review date. Where an error could have changed a homeowner’s decision, the page will include a visible correction note rather than silently changing the conclusion.
What Hearthline does not claim
