Your home information stays under your control.
Who controls your information
Hearthline is operated by Jordan Kraev, sole trader, trading as Kraev and Co under the Hearthline brand, from 67 Liberty Street, London, SW9 0EF, United Kingdom. The operator is the data controller for My Hearthline accounts and direct digital-product orders. Contact support@hearthline.co.uk with a privacy question or request.
Information stored on your device
The site uses browser local storage for planner answers, quote-workspace entries and progress in interactive checklists. This is functional storage that lets you return to unfinished work. Quote entries may include the installer name and commercial details you type from a proposal, but Hearthline does not upload the original quote document. Remove browser-only information with the relevant reset control or by clearing hearthline.co.uk site data in your browser.
The grant route finder does not save its income-band or benefit answers in the browser or in a My Hearthline account. If you choose to save its result, Hearthline saves the surfaced scheme routes, explanatory notes, selected nation and improvement category—not the income or benefit answers used during the check.
Shared plan links
If you choose Share, the answers needed to recreate the plan are encoded into the link. Anyone who receives that link can open those answers. Do not include or share a plan link if you consider the property information sensitive.
Optional My Hearthline accounts
If you create an account, Hearthline stores your verified email address, optional name, account preferences and security records needed to keep you signed in. Sign-in uses a short-lived, single-use code sent through Resend. A strictly necessary secure session cookie keeps the account signed in; it is not used for advertising.
You decide what to add to the account. This may include a broad home profile, saved planner results, calculator scenarios, quote-comparison fields, grant-route results, project tasks and an optional Project Pass control record. That control record can contain budgets, quote revisions, contract conditions, payment milestones, evidence references, snagging notes and handover status entered by you. A saved quote comparison can contain installer names, quoted prices, equipment descriptions and evidence checks; Hearthline does not receive the original proposal unless a future upload feature separately asks for it. The service records the source-review and schema version with saved results so that older assumptions can be identified. Hearthline processes this information to provide the account service you requested, keep it secure, answer support requests and meet applicable legal obligations.
If a plan already exists in this browser, Hearthline asks before copying it into the account. Signing in alone does not upload browser-stored answers. Saved account information is held in a private Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare also provides the Worker that serves the site and account API.
Your account controls and retention
From My Hearthline you can correct profile details, remove individual saved items, download a machine-readable copy of account information and delete the account. Deleting the account removes live account profiles, saved results, tasks, preferences and active sessions. Short-lived operational backups expire on Cloudflare’s backup schedule. Records that must be retained for tax, fraud prevention, disputes or another legal obligation may be kept separately for the necessary period.
Expired sign-in codes and sessions are removed automatically. Hearthline will publish and apply a clear inactivity policy before deleting an inactive account for that reason. You can also request access, correction, restriction, objection, portability or deletion by emailing support. Some rights depend on the circumstances and lawful basis.
Service messages and marketing
Sign-in codes, security notices, requested exports and important account or order messages are service communications. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing. Hearthline will ask separately before sending promotional emails, and every marketing message will provide a simple way to stop them.
If you request a Project Pass founding invitation, Hearthline stores the product key, request status and timestamps against your account. This records demand and allows the service to show your request later. It does not itself subscribe you to a newsletter, authorise partner sharing or take payment. You can withdraw the request through support and it is removed when the account is deleted.
Installers, partners and lead sharing
Saving a home, plan or project interest does not send it to a commercial partner. Hearthline does not currently operate an account-based installer matching service. If a quote-request service is introduced, it will show the named recipient, the exact fields to be shared and the purpose before anything is sent. Affiliate-link clicks are separate from My Hearthline account data.
Product purchases
Browsing a paid-product page, trying the free quote workspace or downloading the free sample does not send planner answers to Stripe. When a checkout is available, Stripe processes checkout and payment information. Hearthline receives the customer name, email, billing country, payment status, amount and product reference needed for access, secure delivery, refunds, fraud prevention, support and accounting. Card details do not pass through Hearthline’s server. Private product files are stored with Cloudflare R2 and order emails are sent through Resend.
Hearthline keeps the order record in Stripe for accounting, support and legal obligations. Signed download links contain an order reference but no email address or card information. The link is checked against Stripe whenever it is used and stops working after a full refund or payment dispute. Hearthline does not sell customer contact details, submit them to installers or add customers to marketing email without separate consent.
Privacy-friendly analytics
Hearthline uses Umami Cloud for an aggregate visual dashboard and Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine for the automated weekly funnel report. The internal event counter records only an approved event name and page path, such as “Plan completed”, “Artifact saved” or “Project file generated”. It does not receive tool answers, account identifiers, email addresses, IP addresses or user agents. Umami is configured without analytics cookies. See Umami’s privacy information and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Contact and data rights
Email support@hearthline.co.uk to exercise a data right or raise a concern. Hearthline may need to verify the request before disclosing or changing account information. Browser-only information cannot be retrieved or deleted remotely. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
